Mediwatch Ultrasound

National Ultrasound has US Distribution Rights for Mediwatch's Portascan Bladder Scanner ultrasound.

MediWatch Ltd was founded by Philip Stimpson in 1996, to develop medical products for the point-of-care environment. Initially, the Company focused on the Primary Care market and developed a few niche diagnostic products for urology. In October 2000, Mediwatch ultrasound successfully listed on the AIM with the reverse take-over of Prostcare Plc. Mediwatch Plc raised in excess of £6 million for research and a “systems approach” to product development. In December 2006, Mediwatch ultrasound successfully completed an agreement to purchase stock and license certain intellectual property from the urology diagnostics division of Medtronic A/S. This acquisition brought the benefit of a global footprint distribution network.

Mediwatch Plc has won four prestigious Research and Technology awards for innovation from the British and European governments. Mediwatch Plc has approvals in ISO13485, CE, CMDCAS and FDA.
