The GE 12L-RS linear ultrasound transducer by National Ultrasound is a wide-band linear array with 4.2–13.0 MHz imaging frequency and 12.7 x 47.1 mm scan head. An advantage of electronically focused linear array transducers is the ability to change the depth of the focal zone simply by changing the amount of delays applied to the individual elements.
